About Coach

Mike’s CrossFit journey started in his garage with a barbell, a dream, and a handful of friends who didn’t know what they were signing up for. What began as a small side project quickly evolved into the thriving FNA community you see today—a place where hard work, good coffee, and even better people come together.‍

Before opening the gym, Mike worked as a paramedic for over a decade, where he saw firsthand the impact of lifestyle and fitness on long-term health. That experience shaped his mission: to help people take control of their health before it ever becomes an emergency.‍

A former football player, Mike has always had a passion for sport and athletic development. During the school year, he also trains youth athletes and school teams—running dryland training for hockey, soccer, and football programs across the region.

Known for his top-notch MCing skills during CrossFit FNA competitions, Mike’s quick wit, clever one-liners, and contagious energy keep the crowd engaged and the athletes fired up. He’s a husband, dad, and leader who believes that fitness isn’t just about building strength—it’s about building better humans, one rep (and one espresso) at a time.

Turning Point

After years of helping people on their worst days as a paramedic, Mike realized he wanted to help them long before they ever needed an ambulance. That realization became the turning point in his life — shifting from emergency response to preventative coaching. CrossFit gave him the platform to empower others to take charge of their health, overcome fear, and build lasting strength inside and out.

Motivation & Passion

Mike’s passion is helping people see what they’re truly capable of—both physically and mentally. He’s driven by the moment someone hits their first pull-up, conquers self-doubt, or finally feels confident in their body again. He’s especially motivated by working with youth and families, creating a culture where fitness and faith intersect to build resilience for life.
